TRANSPORTATION OF DANGEROUS GOODS BY MARINE

REL offers Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) by Marine, which meets Transport Canada’s requirements under the Transportation of DG (TDG) Regulations, Part 11 (Marine) using the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code.  Training is applicable to persons who prepare, handle and offer dangerous goods for transport by marine modes.

The two (2) day IMDG course at REL includes the following training levels:

  • Overview of TDG Regulations
  • IMDG General Provisions
  • Classification*
  • Dangerous Goods List (Identification)
  • Packing Provisions (Packaging)
  • Consignment Procedures (Marking, Labeling, Documentation)
  • Construction and Testing of Packaging (Specifications)

Provisions Concerning Transport Operations (Stowage, Segregation, Incidents)

Note:  *Specific training for transportation of UN Class 7, Radioactive Material (which may be subject to other regulations) is not included but a general overview is given
