Hearing Conservation Programs (HCP) are required when workplace noise levels exceed those permissible by the ACGIH Noise Threshold Limit Values (TLVs).

The HCP includes provisions for noise assessments, audiometric testing, and mandatory training in the health hazards of noise and the fitting, maintenance, care and use of hearing protection.
